Beautiful pair of ceramic figurines produced in Castellamonte by the Tanagra factory.
The Tanagra company is defined in the decorative arts staria as an epigone of Lenci. That is, a company founded by the various craftsmen who worked in Lenci.
Here are represented a samurai and a geisha. Characterized by an ideal expression; beautiful colors like you can no longer find with airbrush details and gold finishes.
Signed under the base Tanagra made in Italy and model number 211/212.
Very good condition. To be noted a chip under the base of the geisha and a firing defect on the samurai's hair as visible in the photo. This piece has an attribution mark,
