He is known for his landscapes, in particular lagoon views of Venice and Chioggia, but also mountains often with divisionist references and thick brush strokes.
The painting depicts a seascape with boats. In the foreground, a large sailing ship dominates, flanked by a small rowing boat; on the right there are mooring poles. The style is realistic, with visible brush strokes and soft colors that create a serene atmosphere.

There is a contemporary frame measuring 51x44.5x5 cm. The work is in good condition and is signed at the bottom left "A. Pavan".
On the back of the panel there are some inscriptions: "Sailing ship at rest. Angelo
Pavan. To dear Irisi. Venice" and a slightly poorly written date where the date '42 can be read.
