She is dressed in headscarf and a peasant style dress and displays a somewhat pensive mood.

This is a beautifully sculpted item and is signed Bessie, presumably referring to Giuseppe Bessi though this signature may be apocryphal or from the school of Bessi.

Condition: Good and clean. minor chip to headscarf edge.
