Nicholas Briganti (19 Jan 1861 Naples – 1944 Dade Co, Florida)
Stunning impressionist jewel of a painting of a Mediterranean pine tree, set within a stunning gilt frame
Nicholas Briganti came to New York in 1887 after studying in Italy and painted in the Impressionist style there for the next 30 years. This piece is one from the late 1890s when he lived briefly in New Bedford, Massachusetts
Canvas on Board - later inserted into a late 20th century custom frame
Signed on the reverse, along with additional inscriptions in pencil, indicating "Briganti" "Gold . . ." and "...France" and some numbers
Frame: 15" x 17"

Condition: Both painting and gilt frame are in very good condition.
