The chair frames have a humped crest on top and a square seat frame both crafted from beech. The chairs have a rich, dark marbled lacquer finish with an intentional subtle aged patina. The backs have a decorative open fretwork abstract design of bent rattan lashed together with rawhide laces in the manner and style of McGuire. The generous seats have newly upholstered fabric and are supported by pole rattan legs conjoined by X-form stretchers. The chair design is reminiscent of designs by Billy Haines and Barbara Barry. The chairs are sturdy and strong with fine craftsmanship. Chic design and handsome profile. Sold as a set of 18.
