beautiful, elegant coffee pot in vitrified hard-paste porcelain, entirely hand-decorated with floral decorations on a black background, signed under the base with the ginori doccia trademark in red, place of production "near florence", letter "g" and catalogue number engraved.
useful information for the evaluation of the object:
from our research we have found that there are numerous ginori doccia objects with the same brand present under our coffee maker, listed at auction at very high prices, for example we found 5 plates with the same brand, listed by cambi at €400-600, at the auction of november 5, 2020, lot number 282, title "five doccia plates, ginori manufacture, circa 1830-1840", while a service is listed at €1,400-2,000 and we are talking about prices from which the auction starts, which can always rise during its progress and to which the auction fees of 25-30% must be added. Finally we found a teapot with the famous red rooster decoration, but similar in shape, slightly older than ours, listed at the auction of october 20, 2021 of pandolfini, florence, lot number 208, entitled "teiera, doccia, manifattura ginori, 1790 circa", all this to give an idea of the value of similar porcelains by ginori doccia.
final considerations on the object:
the object is very old, the porcelain is thick, heavy and very hard, milky white, rich in kaolin as for all the oldest porcelains, the line of the object is in empire style, as are the decorations, and the brand under the coffee pot is the one used by the ginori factory from 1782 to 1850, for all these reasons we are certainly talking about an object datable between 1800 and 1820. To confirm this dating we invite you to look at the handle at the two attachment points, which is absolutely from the end of 1700 or at most the first decades of 1800, identical to that present in the coffee pot of the vivolo collection dated 1780, attached in the last photos. Even the gold decorations on the handle and on the spout are slightly erased by the passage of time and the patina of the porcelain under the base, where there is no enamel, is clearly from a very old object. Very beautiful floral decoration, a pair of daisies on a black background, which, by the way, is a very, very rare background to find.
information on artist and/or manufacturer:
the ginori factory in doccia was one of the most prestigious european porcelain factories. It was founded by the will of the marquis carlo ginori in 1737 in his villa near doccia (florence). The descendants of carlo ginori continued to manage it until 1896, when the merger with the società ceramica richard of milan took place, giving life to the famous italian factory "richard - ginori". In the last photo we have put historical information on the ginori doccia factory and the brand present under our coffee maker. This piece has an attribution mark,
