These pots are associated with Nambu Tekki Ironware -- a traditional craft that dates back to the 17th century. This particular pot features a basketweave design around the top and a leafy vine relief on the lower half. The handle takes the form of a slender bamboo branch. Although the pot was designed to be hung, it looks beautiful when employed as a tabletop planter or as a purely decorative display piece. See less
