The set consists of all … Read more Extraordinary set of ten black lacquered faux-bamboo dining chairs designed in the Chinese Chippendale taste. The set consists of all armchairs with arms measuring 27.25 inches high. The chairs feature thick carved beech wood with a faux bamboo motif finished in a dramatic black lacquer. The seats are upholstered with a colorful chinoiserie style fabric with an Indian motif. The fabric is bordered by a double welt in ruby red. The chairs are heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The vintage fabric shows well and is very presentable. Sold as a set of 10. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California. The chairs have a lovely open fretwork design on the back and sides with humped seat crest.
