We love its very comfortable length and its very substantial depth, allowing it to accommodate a large number of guests.
The top is made of three wide, interlocking boards, and is very thick, resting on a very unique and sturdy base. This has a central crosspiece, slotted into the base and secured with end-mounted shelves.
Very sturdy and heavy, we love the wood's unique patina. The wood may have some flaws and slight pitting in places, inherent to its great age.
Fully restored, treated, sanded, lightly stained to bring out the grain, and protected with a clear matte varnish.
Please note: the table is quite heavy.
