I enjoyed painting this chick because it looks so much like it just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. And I love the contrast of the grumpiness with the cheery yellow feathers.

The pattern behind the chick is my own design. Living in Lisbon, I’m surrounded by buildings covered in colorful patterned tiles. I’m inspired by that, and I enjoy creating patterns.

This is a contemporary oil painting on a plywood panel. It measures 8.75x4 / 22.2x10.2cm. The plywood panel is .5in / 1.3cm. It is signed on the back.

The painting is varnished and ready to hang, with a hanger on the back and 2 small rubber feet in the lower back corners. If you wish, you could frame it. Signed by Maker See less
