i’m fascinated by crows and ravens, partly because they’re beautiful and partly because they’re amazingly smart. When i paint them, i usually try to capture their intelligence. This raven seems to me to have a bit of a sense of humor as well.

the pattern behind the raven is my own design, and is based on sacred geometry. In lisbon, where i live, many of the buildings are covered in colorful patterned tiles. I love being surrounded by patterns, and i enjoy creating them myself.

this painting is sold unframed, and will need a frame and glass to protect it. The painting measures 7.5x 5.5in / 19x14cm. It is signed on the paper below the painting. Signed by maker See less
