This large high quality plafoniere from Limburg Glashütte was manufactured in West-Germany during the 1960s space age era.
It is suitable as ceiling light or wall light.
The chromed metal base carries five lamp sockets and an impressive wide-span glass dome. The character of the light can be easily changed by using half-mirrored bulbs or candle-shaped light bulbs.
This beautiful modernist design lamp is more of an imposing lighting object and can also be used as a modernist interpretation of a chandelier or wall sconce. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
