The consistency of the sharply graphed medallion colorways against the more whimsical, abrashed field background lends the former a natural dimensionality and attention to the meticulous detail they enjoy, further complemented by the subtle juxtaposition of less defined, equally intricate meandering borders playing with bright pink, muted blue, and bold black hues in creative alternation. There’s an archaic modernism to the progressive colorway of this piece that works with the ideal scale, whimsical transitional colorway, and almost playful tribal nature of the pattern that reads so uniquely among the classic Oushak rugs of our Vintage & Vintage rug collection.
