When queried about when it was made, she said it was so long ago she couldn't remember. We have since kept it indoors, and was hung in our previous home's kitchen.

There is no hanging loop on the back. We used a large flathead nail, and placed the crevice of one of the points onto the flat portion of the nail.

The wood and tin have a naturally distressed finish from decades of wear: obvious scratches, scuffing, chips, gouges, and missing paint. When we acquired this, the large patch of duct tape was on the back. We have made no attempt to remove the tape. Although the tape would signify some sort of damage, the star is solid and sturdy, and sits relatively flat. The punched tin appears to have little damage, however when it sits flat, you can see ripples in the metal.
