For your consideration, this rare empire game brings a rich history into your home. The table has a stunning profile with doves and hearts. When closed, the tabletop boasts a strong symmetrical design in the veneer. The design of this table is truly fascinating. To open the table to a game table size, one lifts and rotates the top on a wooden circular peg that inserts into the table base. (please see the last few photos of the inside of the table).
When fully open, the table is 33"x 33".
Due to the age of this piece, there are some cosmetic flaws that are itemized in the condition report.

- This piece is structurally sound. It is in its original condition and therefore has some flaws consistent with it's age. … moreThis piece is structurally sound. It is in its original condition and therefore has some flaws consistent with it's age. There is a small chip in the veneer that is underneath the table top on the front of the table. (see photo) There is a semi-circular scratch on the table top where someone rotated the top incorrectly. Finally the finish on the top when opened, has a small area where the finish has been abraided. This area could be remedied my a professional who would know how to correct it without affecting the original finish. less
