Vintage Large Postmodern Hand-Blown Glass Sculpture with Opalescent Sphere and Nail
This large vintage sculpture features a hand-blown glass body with a traditional flared ribbed design and opalescent rim, elegantly balanced atop a conforming opalescent glass sphere. The base consists of clear ribbed glass with a delicate opalescent border, lending a subtle luminosity to the piece. A conceptual element is introduced by a 10-inch rusted iron nail, which pierces the side of the vessel—removable, yet integral to the piece.
The sculpture remains in very good condition, with minor wear consistent with its age and material.
