Good … Read more Wonderful watercolor on paper with a blue lacquered wooden frame, signed in full "Maccari", datable from 1950 to 1970. Good patina that has oxidized the paper in several places. The painting is signed in pencil at the bottom right "Maccari". We do not have expertise or certificates, the painting is offered at a rather low price compared to the real value due to the absence of certificates, even if the style, the brush stroke and the colors are very close, in our opinion, to those characteristic of the artist as well as the calligraphy of the signature.

Mino Maccari (Siena, 24 November 1898 – Rome, 16 June 1989) was an Italian writer, painter, engraver and journalist, winner of the Feltrinelli Prize for Painting in 1963. from an internet search we find that the four highest results achieved at auction by oil paintings by Mino Maccari range from 19,000 euros to 32,000 euros, while watercolours similar to ours have been sold from 2,000 to 3,000-3,500 euros except one of the same size as ours and with a colour palette and a subject similar to ours that was sold way back in 1993 for around 10 million lire, which translated into euros is around 5,500 euros, but we all know that the purchase value of 10 million in 1993 was well above the 10,000 euros of today. Please note that to all these prices you must always add the auction fee of 25-30%. In the last photo we have put Maccari's signature, found on an important auction site and very similar to ours which is made in pencil. This piece has an attribution mark,
