Handmade in the 1970s and 1980s in Morocco by artisans from local Berber tribes, this "Handira" rug bears witness to a long history of traditions among the peoples of the Maghreb. Originally called the "Berber Wedding Rug," the Handira rug is entirely embroidered, woven, and forged by hand. Whether the weft, fringes, or sequins, each element was crafted by hand for a man and his wife, in the pure tradition of the peoples of the Atlas Mountains, particularly the Zayane and Beni Ouarain tribes.

Made from soft wool, fringe, colorful geometric patterns, and silver-tone metal sequins, it is reversible: one side is made of bouclé wool embellished with shiny bohemian-chic stripes, the other adorned with colorful Berber embroidery, allowing you to change the look according to your mood!

Ideal as a decorative rug, its large size of 260 x 130 cm will be perfect in a large living room, bedroom, or office.
