A truly handmade rug, this "Kilim" rug is made of pure sheep wool, woven and hand-knotted, which is pleasant and soft to the touch. It is the result of Moroccan Berber craftsmanship and features an ethnic look typical of this Maghreb people, combining a geometric and ethnic camel and bird motif, typical of the 1950s.

Made using the flat-weave technique, it has a non-velvet appearance, revealing all the natural beauty of the wool, imbued with symbolism linked to folkloric and local nature: the camel represents survival in arid environments, robustness in the face of desert heat, and the birds symbolize freedom and protection.

What's interesting about this rug is its color palette, which remains in keeping with today's tastes. Its understated color palette remains adaptable to both modern and vintage bohemian and eclectic settings, with its beige and cream tones, enhanced by subtle shades of black, purple, and pink, all held together by its ecru background!
