particularly noteworthy is the drop-shaped or teardrop-shaped glass decoration, which bears clear parallels to kolo moser's design for the lace chest in the dressing room of the eisler apartment at terramare. the richard ludwig furniture factory was known not only for its original designs, but also for the high-quality execution of important furniture pieces by prominent viennese architects. For example, the company created a stately cabinet based on a design by joseph maria olbrich for the 1900 paris world's fair. Later, important viennese furniture designers, such as otto prutscher – a student of hoffmann and later chief designer of thonet – also worked closely with the manufactory.
