the tabletop is elongated and octagonal, with beveled ends. It rests on two column-like, solid-looking supports, whose octagonal base and baroque appearance are reminiscent of classical architectural forms.

the two supports each have a centrally recessed wooden paneling on the back, which ensures stability and simplifies assembly. Particularly striking is the interplay of solid presence and graphic lines, which gives the piece an almost sculptural quality.

a small label on the underside of the tabletop displays a stylized p logo with a cup or chalice motif.

stylistically, the piece can be placed in the context of italian postmodernism or neoclassicism, presumably originating in the 1980s, when marble consoles with an architectural style were in high demand – both in private interiors and in prestigious reception areas.
