Elegant mid-century two-seater sofa by Ole Wanscher for France & Son, produced in Denmark as part of the famous Senator series. An outstanding example of Scandinavian modern design – simple, organic, and of first-class craftsmanship.

Made of solid teak, the sofa features a flowing design language and finely crafted details. The horizontally arranged backrest struts lend the sofa a light feel and make it visually attractive even when standing freely in the room. The armrests and transitions are precisely crafted – typical of Wanscher's furniture philosophy.

The new seat and back cushions are filled with high-quality foam and covered with a high-quality bouclé fabric by Kvadrat / Sahco in a light gray-beige shade – timeless, homely, and pleasant to the touch.

The sofa is in very good vintage condition: The wood is sturdy and structurally sound, with slight age-related signs of wear in the form of small scratches, slight discoloration, and subtle bumps, primarily in the lower areas. The upholstery is new and unused.

Elegant mid-century modern two-seater sofa by Ole Wanscher, produced by France & Son (Cado) as part of the iconic Senator series. Made in Denmark during the 1960s, it is a refined example of Scandinavian design tradition.
