this set of six original ch36 dining chairs was designed by danish master designer hans j. Wegner in 1962 – a model that impresses with its clean lines, solid craftsmanship, and simple elegance.

made of solid oak, the chairs have now been freshly varnished and fitted with new seat wickerwork made of danish paper cord – in keeping with the original design. The light wood displays an authentic patina that charmingly underlines its age, with only slight signs of wear, especially on the lower sections.

the ch36 is wegner's homage to traditional craftsmanship: without superfluous details, yet ergonomically well-thought-out and amazingly comfortable. Typical of wegner's design approach, which always sought the essential – uncompromising in form, function, and craftsmanship.
