Aluminum sculpture
by lino tinè,
city of the future
origin italy
period 1972
author lino tinè (floridia, 1932) is an italian sculptor who works mainly in abstract art. After studying in syracuse and florence, he trained at the brera academy under the guidance of marino marini. He moved to sesto san giovanni (mi) in the 1950s, where he lived and worked for decades. His works, made of bronze or aluminum, are distinguished by abstract structures that evoke cities, maps, or organic forms. He has participated in important exhibitions, including a retrospective at the palazzo dei diamanti in 1974, and was a member of the ‘v’ group. Tinè is present on the art market with works sold at international auctions. In 2020, he created the sculpture ‘albero secco’ (dry tree) in homage to the victims of covid-19.
