This remarkable vintage Moroccan Berber rug displays an extraordinary compilation of traditional Berber geometric designs, featuring multiple diamond formations, each rendered in distinct color combinations. The execution reveals the weaver's encyclopedic knowledge of symbolic geometric tribal motifs distributed throughout the pink field. The restrained yet rich palette combines natural tones with carefully selected accents of pink, yellow, orange, beige and cream. It’s a gorgeous masterpiece of the primitivist Berber tradition, and an exemplar of all nomadic folk art as well.
