This exceptional Berber runner rug displays the classic diamond medallion configuration typical of Middle Atlas workshops. The color palette demonstrates sophisticated restraint: warm salmon-pink field contrasted by alternating ivory and charcoal diamond medallions that create visual contrast through tonal reversal. The subtle horizontal striations visible throughout the pink field reveal the characteristic sectional construction method where separately dyed wool lots were integrated during weaving. The distinctive black border, executed in simple geometric patterning, provides visual containment while echoing the charcoal elements within the central medallions.
