The finish is medium (not light or dark, a caramel color) with a medium gloss and the chairs have no significant scuffs or rubs. The wicker exhibits very few signs of wear or flaws. The oatmeal-colored chair upholstery is like new. All chairs have arms. The chairs date from prior to the 1980s and were rarely used (dining chairs in vacation cottage). The seats are approximately 21-22 inches across and the balloon backs are 38-39 inches tall at the highest point. These beautiful chairs are sturdy as well as comfortable and pair well with many table styles or decors. See less
