A stunning example of Danish modern lighting, this Nyhavn pendant was designed by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær for Louis Poulsen in the late 1970s. Cast in solid copper with a wide conical shade that casts a generous pool of light. The perforated cylindrical mid-section with glare rings softly diffuses illumination upward, creating ambient glow and preventing glare.
Recognized for its sculptural form and technical refinement, this lamp echoes the award-winning Nyhavn wall series introduced in 1976, which earned accolades for its thoughtful design across heritage urban areas.
