Five 1970s ceramic mugs, each hand-glazed in a riot of color. Vivid streams of turquoise, olive, rust red, and chocolate brown erupt over a warm cream base, forming a lava lamp-like pattern that varies beautifully across each cup. The playful looped handles and raised footed bases give them a charming, sculptural feel that stands out on any open shelf or breakfast table.
These mugs are believed to be Italian studio pottery, with a glaze technique reminiscent of Bitossi or mid-century Fantoni works. They're perfect for serving espresso, coffee, or even as small planters or pen holders.
Each mug is in excellent vintage condition with light crazing typical of age.
