Ned Foltz 2001 Signed Redware Ruddy Glaze, Pinch Spout & Slip Decorated Pitcher With Twisted Rope Open Handle
Crafted in the old Pennsylvania German tradition of redware making, this pitcher is 5.5" high,
6.25" wide with handle, 4.5" wide without handle and weighs about 1.5 pounds.
It is decorated using traditional redware slip techniques. It has the ribbing so ofter present in PA Dutch old world pottery and has an early American aesthetic.
Condition: Very good to excellent both structurally and the fired on glaze.
No cracks or chips in the redware and the finish is lustrous- no mars or cracking.
