a vintage 1980s black ceramic seated figure statue by Jaru of California
American Modern Ceramic elegant seated female figure leaning on left arm with crossed legs, "Cubist" (by JARU) the name JARU is derived from the first two letters of Jack and Ruth lewin's name and thus became the name of their company in California in the 70s. Their work is iconic to the post midcentury American movement with these timeless and still modern looking sculptures that can exist in almost any modernist decor.
