A lovely example of a French Oak Hunting Table, these so called ‘hunting tables’ were used to celebrate after a hunt with drink and a meal. It dates to the 19th Century and has a beautifully carved base. Now it can as does extend as you can see from the underneath, but these days they are mainly used a centre tables. It does pull out and the little end legs can drop down and they would have placed boards on top of the pull outs. Some people remove the extending system but we feel its there so leave it be ! It dates to the mid 19th Century and we have bleached it for a lighter look, in overall excellent original condition for the home.
