These are monumental, i have genuinely never seen anything like them before, as you can see in the picture with the two chaps putting one against the wall they are really epically large. Here is the full listing from dreweats piranesi (giovanni battista) [a pair of columns] veduta prospetto principale della colonna antonina [and] veduta del prospetto principale della colonna trajana, from 'trofeo o sia magnifica colonna\.' etching and engraving on several sheets conjoined, two works, framed, 1774 326 x 95.5cm together with a folio of architectural plates by piranesi 69.5cm high, 48cm wide provenance: henry sotheran limited condition report: the engravings are executed on 6/7 joined sheets which have been laid down. The backing paper is distressed as you can see, i have left it as it is as its original and you can see the canvas backing. The frames have been cleaned waxed and polished, they have various patina marks, the actual prints have indentations and age related marks here and there on both. Dimensions height:- 337cm & 336.5cm width:- 95.5cm depth:- 5.2cm please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the around condition please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
