nordiska industriaktiebolaget (niab), a swedish design company, was founded in gothenburg in 1895 by august johansson. Initially located on södra hamngatan and kyrkogatan, niab specialized in pattern design and textile sales, expanding to include other addresses. Estrid fischer directed the pattern studio from 1895 to 1935, working alongside noted artists like hulda hedenborg and agneta goës.
niab held annual textile exhibitions in gothenburg and became known for its collaborations with talented designers, contributing significantly to sweden's design heritage. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
