Appears to be mahogany.

Features a locking drop front, gorgeous brass hardware, ball and claw feet, four dovetailed drawers, drop front desk with slide-out supports to support workspace, and an organizer with 3 drawers, 8 cubbies, and a small cabinet. “5982 I/2 MAHG.” stamped on back. Stabilizers move in and out as the door is opened and closed. All locks work and key is included! (Please note, locks turn to the left.)

Solid, sturdy, and fully functional, with cosmetic imperfections consistent with age.
