Acquired from a private Palm Beach estate in the historic Mizner district — an area celebrated for Addison Mizner’s Mediterranean Revival architecture and grand sculptural ornamentation — this antique pair of cast stone lion statues exudes timeless garden grandeur.
Each lion is sculpted in classical style with one paw resting on a stylized heraldic shield. With rich surface patina and subtly varied expressions, they offer a bold, timeworn symmetry — ideal for flanking entryways, garden paths, or courtyard steps.
Dating to the 1930s–1940s, they feature heavy cast stone construction with natural aging, moss, and lichen. The expressive modeling and rustic detailing echo the aesthetic made famous by architect Addison Mizner. Each base bears an embossed rectangular cartouche, partially obscured due to age.
