Annie Maume is a French ceramicist born in 1943, descended from a dynasty of potters from Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, France. She is the wife of the late painter and ceramicist Robert Héraud (1924-2010). Together, they worked in their studio in Orme-aux-Loups, at the foot of the Sancerre hill, where Annie modeled and Robert perfected the glazes.

Annie Maume began her ceramic apprenticeship in 1966 after meeting Robert Héraud, whose pictorial works and personality she fell in love with. She moved in with him and began working in ceramics, an art to which she remained faithful throughout her career. with humor, Annie Maume's sculptures and bas-reliefs are able to lift the gloom from our minds, transporting us back to the time when, as free children, we told each other frightening stories.

Annie Maume and Robert Héraud exhibited their works in several galleries, including the Artisanat Réalité gallery in Paris from 1972 to 1985. Their works were selected for major exhibitions, such as the one organized for the twentieth anniversary of the Artisanat Réalité gallery.
