Of rustic workmanship, probably from the Italian mountain areas, it has decorative engravings on the drawers, sides and on the lower front band. On this band, in a later period (19th century), the Flower of Life was engraved, an ancient geometric symbol, sacred to many cultures and which among its meanings has that of protection and interconnection of the universe
The shelf is made with a single walnut plank. The locks are contemporary and not working: the key is only for decorative purposes. The handles are finely crafted in brass
The chest of drawers has already been restored in previous periods and has a restoration insert on the front band (see last photo). It is in good condition, obviously with various signs of its very long age: we have cleaned and polished it for conservative purposes
