De Winter was trained in architecture and urban planning in Brussels during the 1940s and spent his career shaping modernist residential and commercial buildings across the Brussels region. His architectural legacy includes structures now considered cult classics of the Belgian modern movement.

from 1958 to 1975, he also designed furniture, bringing the same rigor and attention to proportion seen in his buildings. This piece reflects that vision: raised on chrome legs, the cabinet features warm wood tones paired with a striking blue interior.

It was sourced from the private residence of architect O. De Pelsemaeker in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, alongside matching pieces.
