This is the original design for a postcard.Charles Thomas Howard (1865–1942) was a prolific artist who worked for the publisher J. Salmon of Sevenoaks, amongst others. Born in Boston in Lincolnshire, he subsequently moved to London and had a successful commercial career. His wide-ranging postcard subjects included patriotic cards during World War I and military aviation, flowers and animals, British landscape and landmarks, and foreign travel.On watercolour board.All artworks come with a Certificate of Authenticity and—if it is a collection artwork—its accompanying collection text or artist biography.
