Likely made between 1880 and 1900 and consistent with workshops such as Cantagalli in Florence, the vase features classical portraiture on one side and a fantastical grotteschi creature on the other—hallmarks of Italian Renaissance iconography. Scrolling ornament in cobalt blue, ochre, and green decorates the form, all rendered under a softly crackled tin glaze.

The lamp is topped with a bespoke hand-pleated silk shade made from a vintage Indian sari, its floral motifs and warm palette echoing the base’s coloration. This one-of-a-kind piece blends centuries of Italian decorative art with contemporary craftsmanship—perfect for interiors where patina, history, and presence matter.
