The base, remaining rough in texture, contrasts with the finesse of the polished body.

Unfortunately, this marble is unsigned, but it was surely sculpted by a seasoned artist: it demonstrates great refinement in the sculpting of expressions, but also great mastery of his technique in terms of volume (sculpture from a single block).
Good overall condition, patina and wear of age, some chips and old restorations (glued toes).
