Oil painting on canvas depicting a splendid view with ancient ruins and figures in Venetian dress, of remarkable pictorial quality and rich in minute details. The artwork clearly fits into the tradition of eighteenth-century Venetian architectural capriccio and the label on the back features the name of Antonio Visentini (1688-1782), a well-known view painter and engraver (The painting is not currently accompanied by an expertise, but it is possible to request one upon payment of the relevant additional costs). Spectacular 20th-century frame in carved and gilded wood, with some signs of aging. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and recoloring in small spots.
