Carlos friedrich peters-weber was born in meldorf. He studied at the hamburg school of applied arts, later at the academy of fine arts in munich, as well as in berlin and weimar, under hans olde, among others. He was a member of the altona artists' association and worked as a portrait painter in hamburg.
on the back of the painting is the remnant of a label that refers to the great berlin art exhibition of 1901, where this painting was exhibited. I have the 1901 exhibition catalog. The painting is mentioned there but not depicted. I enclose the 1901 catalog.
the painting is signed f. Peters-weber 1901 altona.
the frame again mentions altona lessingstrasse 22. The frame has a defect in the top left corner, which is out of view when you view it from the front. This piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
