Beniourain rugs are among the most prestigious Berber rugs, renowned for the contrast between the natural white wool and the deep black. Handcrafted by the women of the Middle Atlas tribes, these rugs were originally created to meet the needs of the nomads of Morocco. with their generous dimensions, they were perfect as flooring in Berber tents. Today, Beniourain rugs integrate perfectly into modern contexts, becoming unique design elements.
Made entirely of natural wool, these rugs do not use artificial dyes, but rely on the black color of the thread to enrich the design with symbolic motifs typical of the Tuareg tribes. The softness of the untreated wool makes them particularly suitable for combating the harsh cold of the desert. In addition, the traditional Berber knotting gives these rugs a unique resistance and versatility, which makes them usable on both sides.
Beniourain rugs are characterized by simple and linear designs, with tribal motifs that include geometric patterns of diamonds, crosses and lines that are repeated across the entire surface. These motifs convey a symbolic meaning, reflecting the culture and spirituality of the nomadic populations of the Sahara. The colors, usually natural such as brown, beige and black, give the rug a discreet and timeless beauty.
Perfect for modern and traditional environments, Beniourain rugs are ideal for adding a touch of authenticity and comfort to spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms and offices. Thanks to their resistance and the softness of the wool, they are also suitable for more demanding spaces, such as the bathroom or kitchen. Whether it is a modern living room rug, a green vintage rug or a modern living room rug, Beniourain rugs easily adapt to any context.
