A refined mid-century table lamp created from an amphora-form vase by Flora Gouda, part of their Porcelina series produced in the Netherlands between 1950 and 1970. The vase features a soft matte glaze in slate-toned blue and crisp relief details at the neck and base, blending neoclassical inspiration with modernist restraint.
This one-of-a-kind lamp is paired with a custom, hand-pleated shade made in the Netherlands, crafted in a reimagined indigo and ivory colorway of William Morris’s iconic Acanthus pattern. The shade’s crisp pleats subtly echo the ribbed base of the lamp, creating a cohesive silhouette.
A striking accent for a writing desk, console, or reading nook, this piece balances historical form and post-war modernity with quiet elegance.
