This painting is signed C.S. on the front at the bottom right. It needs to be framed and it would look outstanding if placed in a shadow box frame, with a 1/2” float. (See example of what it would like like in the photos section).

This mixed media painting in a heavy drip style manner is on found plywood. There is a part of the plywood that is broken off, (see photo), however it adds to the character of this artwork, and doesn’t take away from the overall look.

Shoemaker is considered a outsider artist. (See a photo of him in the additional photos). Shoemaker has had no formal education in art and typically paints on found materials. This painting is a perfect example of his work. See less
