Magnificent large dish or bowl resting on a light pedestal in blue jasper enamelled ceramic
by the famous ceramic artist Jerome Massier.
This 1890 unique art bowl has a raised foot and two small handles with a celadon-coloured jasper ceramic base.
It is a testimonial pottery studio piece of the unique Massier family work and an ode to the early Vallauris creation.

Jérôme Massier, part of the renowned Massier family of ceramists from Vallauris, France, was instrumental in the revival and innovation of French art pottery in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Known for his vibrant glazes and distinctive Art Nouveau designs, Massier's work significantly influenced the decorative arts movement of his time.
