The set was wrapped with thick flannel pockets to protect it during the flight.}
The six spoons and six forks are currently covered from all sides by blue Damascus napkins embroidered in gold and red threads and placed in brand new decorative gift boxes.
Each decorative box contains one layer of six dessert forks arranged over one blue Damascus-embroidered napkin. There is a second embroidered napkin folded over the six forks. The six spoons were placed side by side on top of the second napkin. A third embroidered napkin is placed on top of the teaspoons. The black shiny handle of each piece of cutlery is made by hand-carving the horn of a buffalo, then making inlays with turquoise and coral chips. This collection of twelve pieces has stainless-steel fork and spoon parts. Each shines like a mirror because none were ever used. This set consists of only half the housewarming gift presented in 1986 that included twelve small forks and twelve teaspoons, totaling 24 pieces. Purchasing one box includes twelve pieces. Purchasing two boxes totals twenty-four pieces. They were purchased in Lebanon directly from the Haddad family, who are masters in the art of producing this unique traditional kind of cutlery. They are being offered at a competitive price considering their being brand-new, never-used silverware. Many sites that are selling Jezzine cutlery are offering used sets with visible scratches on both the carved horn part and the stainless-steel utensil part. The tip of every handle carved from a buffalo's horn, is skillfully shaped as the head of a bird. The complete house-warming gift also included a bar set offered here on Chairish separately, a meat-carving set and salad-set in the same box, and a dessert-serving cutter in a separate box.
