Turns out that Lloyd Loom was purchased by Heywood Wakefield in 1921. Lloyd Loom invented a mechanized weaving process in 1918. My chairs have no label. Labels were used post 1949 by Heywood Wakefield. I adore this chair design. Particullarly the chair with a built in magazine rack.
I gave them a fresh coat of white paint. I even had the cushions reupholstered. So they are ready to use.
Heywood Wakefield invested in a high profile design team. Paul T Frankl leads the list of art deco designers. There was also Donald Deskey, Gilbert Rohde, and Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky
plus Russel Wright and a few others. 1920s with the hiring of innovative designers such as Paul Frankl, Russel Wright, Gilbert Rohde, and Donald Deskey. This gamble to invest in cutting-edge design paid off. Soon these new Art Deco-inspired designs found an eager audience and Heywood-Wakefield developed a legendary following.
Paul Frankl came to Anerica in 1914. He established himself as a proponent of Art Deco design while living in New York. Heywood Wakefield made a wise decision by taking him on board.
